Looking for advice. Just sold our two Trek Beach Cruisers.
Looking into buying our first electric bikes.
Budget around $1000

Hopefully you mean around $1k each, not $1k for both.

If you're looking for cruisers, but electrified, I can recommend the Electra line of them. I got a Townie GO! 7D for my wife this year and she loves it. She rides that alongside me on my mechanical bike, so I can still get a workout.

The Aventon Pace 350 line is a nice option, too, at around $1100 ea. Good quality. They roll a bit more efficiently than a cruiser, but still have that upright seating position.
