Hi, I am new to both electric bikes and biketouring. I ride a Surly Ogre. Constrained by a heart condition of atrial fibrillation, I hope that installing an electric motor will expand the possibilities of touring and allow me more years on the road. It is my hope to learn about e-bikes and motors from the vast knowledge and experience of this Forum's members. Thanks for having me on the Forum.

I did quite a bit of mountain biking in Singapore. All the bikes were rented from a local bike shop. They had e-bikes for rent too. Singapore is so rocky! I was there teaching workshops to Dell. you live in the most beautiful country and welcome to the forum.

Hi Bart, thank you for the warm welcome. I am glad you enjoyed your visit to Singapore and that you hold such wonderful memories of it. I am not a mountain-biker but I have built a downhill MTB trail on a mountain slope in the Central Highlands of Vietnam. When you came to Singapore, did you also visit Penang where I believe exists a Dell facility?
