Hi, Relatively new to ebikes. Installed a 500W mid-drive on my wife’s Trek. Had to get one, a 750W, so I could keep up with her on the hills. Started installing it and should have it together by this weekend. Looking forward to sharing and learning on this forum.
Got this together on my Trek FX 7.2. Added some rivet nuts to secure the battery mount. I made a cable adjuster for the seat post tube so that I could use the front derailleur as a chain guide locked in one position. Reset the display from 5 PAS to 9. Got a programming cable so that I could fine tune the modes, ( have to do this yet). 44T chain ring, 31 mph top speed. Set the limiter down to 20 mph, as 31 is Too Fast. Got about 50 miles on it so far. Runs Great. Still have some tidying up to do. May use 3M Weather Strip cement to glue wires to frame and loose zip ties.
