First up: Hiii! have been reading though threads here over the last months to try and understand what the heck I bought. It's very new for me to DIY Ebikes. I'm doing it as I hate just throwing stuff out instead of trying to fix it. I may have gone too deep this time lol. I hope there'll be some kind nerds here with some knowledge, even if it's just "Yeah you done goofed"
I have an SCO (Danish brand) E-bike, with a promovec drivetrain, like the motor and what-not, from the mid 2010's, it's the typical supermarket bike built on the cheap. I think Aldi ones use some of the same electronics.
It started stuttering instead of driving, so my thinking was, after much trial and error, that the controller was bust. I bought a new one on amazon (Didn't want to wait for aliexpress shipment), it's this one (SL-QX041KZ). Thought it was KT controller, but it appears to not be?
So here's how the bike looks right now:
(Yes the wiring looks awful atm, I still need to use it daily. Even though it's harder to ride than a normal bike it's still better than walking)
The battery cells and bms got replace some years back, 36v. The motor is hall-less. The PAS is on the right side, so I also bought a new one and installed it on the left ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
This setup does not throttle, not via PAS nor throttle wire jumping, but it can run the motor with the walk-assist. So it is able to run the motor. I'm pretty sure I got all the settings right on the display. I'm at such a loss. Is the controller just not hall-less compatible?
Thank you for reading ❤
