Today is the day. I have finally acquired my dream bike. A H.P. Velotechnik Street Machine Gte. The thing I’m struggling with is weather to go with a Bafang G020 48v 500w hub, or Bafang Bbshd 48v 1000w. I live in an area with lots of hills and understand the benefits of the mid drive but, the crazy long chain line gives me pause (had a mishap with my other recumbent outfitted with a bbshd and Mr. High Voltage kit). Along with the fact that the boom is only held in place by compression. As I have both motors maybe I’ll just try both. I’d really hate to screw anything up on the machine though.
