I picked up an old 1970s mowhawk cruiser for $20 and im a doing a full restoration. I'm looking for the perfect e set up so I can commute to work faster. Here's a photo of the bike the wheel size is 24 x 1 can somome help me with finding the best diy setup? Much appreciated :)

Ps I'm looking to do a front wheel hub motor. But I'm open to other options since I have absolutely no clue what I'm doing

My real foray into e-biking began last summer, I struggled to piece another wheel hub build together - this one is not a kit but all separately acquired pieces.

The vintage 60's Peugeot mixte frame I used didn't make things easy due to several odd quirks even an old mechanic friend found annoying...

Here is a photo which may give you some ideas and show you that it is possible to make an ebike out of a vintage bicycle. It's not the easiest build especially if you're new to the hobby, but don't let that stop you if you have some patience and a mechanical mind!
