"I bought second-hand electric bike with a motor that I think is a 1500W motor, the battery is 55/16, and the controller looks like the one in the pictures.
The bike rides well, but not strong or fast enough.
My question is, should I upgrade the battery, which might be worn out, or the controller to a stronger one, or both?"

Thanks!

hi thanks, i can get 60/24ah max
But i wonder if to replace the ccontrorler or only the battery ...

With that controller upping the volts will get you the best bang for the bucks!
Thanks but this controler is only 26a-33a
if i get 40a controller , it wil be much stronger like this one ,or it will be not much of defrence and the battery is the game changer here?

The controller will make it better but the volts and amps equal POWER. It takes both since you current controller works with higher volts that's where I'd start, higher voltage battery. Especially since you already question your battery. Start with what you know and work from there. If you change the battery and it doesn't do all you want then upgrade the controller. That's what I'd do in your position but I'm not you so you'll have to decide what you want to do yourself.

PS I am no expert so hopefully others with more knowledge will chime in.

Have you tried adjusting the levels of power? Most have some programable settings either through the display or an app. For example on my bike I can adjust the base amps from 0 to 20 and the acceleration from 1 to 5. I generally leave the amps at 12 and acceleration at 3 any higher and my bike wants to spinout in less than perfect conditions.

Thanks but i dont have display or app , i think the controller is a basic one..

maybe someone could recomande
A good controller with this settings?

A budjet one :)

You might want to google and check youtube for a little info almost all E-bikes / controllers have some way of making some adjustments to the settings some even have a wire that needs to be cut or bridged to open up full power.

I saw this on youtube

But i didn't what he is doing there..
any way i prefer to get a better controller...

I suggest you jump over to Amyrides," seeking guidance on controller replacement" thread. Also, take a look at all the other KT controller threads. What ever you decide to buy, get a matching display to go with it. Buying them mismatched is a recipe for failure.

Thanks i saw the kt controllers but they are all big.. i need something small like the bc i posted here..

There are different sized ones on Aliexpress, but if you want a bigger controller and it's a 1500w motor, you are going to need more mosfets and and a bigger circuit board to handle the wattage. I suggest you look at some of the controller boxes. I think one might fit right near that funky seat post that you have there.

thanks i will look, do you know any good one ?
Pick out your controller and then decide which box suits it.There are different sizes and types, there are also some padded bags. Some controllers on Aliexpress come with the box, which will help you with sizing.

thanks, but i have a place build in the bike
i want some small controller to fit in, i do'nt want to put it in a box outside.

I'm afraid, if you go up in amperage, you will go up in size. You can't put an elephant in a day pack. There will also be more heat output. You will have to compromise somewhere. You can hunt through the pages on aliexpress and check the measurements, but it's going to be pretty consistent.
