Need charger for bike looks exactly like Macwheel Ranger 500

Thanks so much for your help! Do you think a typical bike shop would have a multi meter that would test the battery? I bought replacement charger from Parts Window. The Plug to insert (photo) was too small. Marina (very nice) at Parts Window said charger sent me was for a Macwheel 500 Ranger for which the battery is listed in online review as 36V 10ah. The charger sent Mr by Parts Window is: Output: 42V 2A. Input: 100V - 240 OV. This charger (pic) is MUCH smaller than one came w bike? Perhaps that's just normal for replacement charger to be smaller in size? If on multi meter the voltage tests out at 36V battery I have is correct for Macwheel 500 Ranger? Marina at Parts Window says charger sent me correct for model (charger head too small for post in port)? Either Parts Window sent wrong charger or bike not a Ranger? Tough one. Wonder cost multi meter? Lugging battery to bike shop daunting w my injured achilles ..ironically reason bought Ebike in first place? Home Depot sell them?

I was trying to explain that if the original owner bought an after market battery, those come with their own chargers and the plug on them can differ from the original. Any bike shop that works on ebikes could test your battery, an Autozone could test your battery. You can get a multimeter on Amazon, Home Depot or Harbour Freight. There is a Harbout Freight in the Bronx, if that helps you. There are also many YouTube videos on the basics of using them. You really have to know your voltage before you can go any further.
