So anyway, I had been looking for the right bike/price. I'll admit I came up a bit short of all my desires, but for $300 I just couldn't pass it up.

It's an old 'Sportcool' bike. Anyone remember?

26" x 4.0" tires, disc brakes, 500w 36volt setup from factory.

I will admit it's kinda' slow, but I'm looking into that now, lol. Any suggestions?

Forums are a little slow lately. People are on their bikes more than their computers. For an inexpensive ride there are quite a few reviews out on it, most of them pretty solid. One easy way to speed up your bike a bit might be to put on 3 inch wide tires instead of 4 inch. It would be like the difference between snowshoes and trail sneakers. A 36v battery has its hands full with fat tires. Now I think I am officially mixing my metaphors, anyway enjoy.

Would a higher voltage battery help the situation?

Will your controller allow you to go higher voltage?
For instance, some displays and controllers will let you go from 36v up to 72v .. do you see the settings for this?

Good display to start out, the S900,
i used to use SW900 displays and still have 2 of them running.
