Move over moped eBikes, here come the choppers

Here's an interesting tid bit of information. I found out the BGX is made in the same Mangosteen factory as Eahora eBikes, and a lot of other eBike brands we've all heard of. They also make electric motorcycles.

A lot of people will be familiar with this bike.

I'm pretty sure they don't. My credit card wouldn't even work, I had to use paypal.
I'd bet at least 5 people in their company has bitcoin or other cryptos lol

I'm still waiting for a person to sell me their house for bitcoins :ROFLMAO:

So have you been riding it yet? Spill the beans amigo, how is it? :)
It's very fun to ride. It steers like a truck and over steers, but going straight it's as stable as a freight train. It doesn't have a lot of torque, but this is coming from a Stealth rider. On the first half of the battery it lumbers up to 40-45 mph. It seems to catch a second wind after 30. I haven't checked it myself, but people say the speedo is off by about 2-3 mph optimistic. When it gets into the bottom half of the battery 35 is about all it'll do. The 4 piston brakes are outstanding and look like Shimano XT8000 copies. Still figuring out it's range, but it looks like at full throttle it'll go 35 miles. For cruising speeds 40-50 miles should be a piece of cake, and if you feel like creeping along 10 or 15 mph 60+ might be attainable. The motor has metal clad gears, and there's plenty of gear whine, no worse than a SurRon though. Above 40 it sounds like a missile. The forks look good, but are cheap spring forks with adjustments for compression, and rebound. Their ride is acceptable but they're pretty noisy. The rear shocks are super way over sprung, but everyone will be replacing them anyway. The seat is the best bicycle seat I've ever tushed my tush on. It goes a long way making up for the harsh shocks. I think I could reduce the tire pressure a little bit and improve the ride quality a lot. The paint is possibly the best quality of any bike or motorcycle I've ever owned. Mangosteen knows where to put the money. I consider this bike an incredible bargain. It's an interesting mix of very high quality, with a few cheap parts mixed in at the right places to keep the costs down.

I tried talking my son into buying one with me to help run cover with the so, but he copped an attitude about not being into chopper styling. I could tell as we were assembling it his eyes were starting to pop out of his head. After we got it together I let him take it for a ride, and I couldn't get him off it. Finally I said hey come here and let me show you something. That's the only way I could take it back. I think he wants one now.

The way most people set this bike up is with 3 pas settings since you can only pedal to 13 mph anyway. The Pas setting has the same effect on the throttle. Pas1 is 100% legal, 750w, and less than 20 mph, pedal or throttle. When you fire up the computer it always starts on Pas1. Pas 2 is good for 30 mph. I'm not sure about the watts but it's more. Pas 3 is full 1500w power, and will let it go as fast as it will. Sometimes that's about 45 mph on full battery. Compared to almost any normal eBike including moped style bikes the BGX is a rocket. Super 73 forget about it. Even the mighty Wired Freedom will have it's hands full.

I'm getting a lot more used to riding the BGX. I've gone from taking two whole lanes to make a you turn, to only one lane. Going through turn is starting to feel more natural too. I'm digging on this bike.

This is how I feel about it right now.

As I mentioned before, my front rotor was warped out of the box. I bent it back close to straight but it was still slightly rubbing. I was going to change to floating disks anyway, so I bought a pair to install first chance I got. Yesterday it rained all day so I got my chance. I only did the front. These low cost rotors are surprisingly decent quality. Just to make it interesting 2 of bolt heads stripped when I tried to remove them. I had to drill them out enough to knock them off with a hammer and chisel, and use vise grips to remove the studs that were left. $44 bucks a pair for floating rotors is a pretty good deal. Kind of racy aren't they?
