Is there any risk of corrosion with mounting a steel mid drive kit - BBSHD to the bottom bracket of an aluminum bike frame?

Galvanic corrosion can occur when steel is mounted against aluminum. However many parts on your bike are steel like the hubs, nuts, bolts and bearings.

I suppose while there is some risk of corrosion with the kit but after many years of use with my mid drive kit, I see no problems at all. The benefit of the aluminum bike frame is that it wont rust.

This is a good point, when aluminum corrodes it expands and that will lock the kit on the thread making it impossible to remove. I would try using some grease when fitting the kit. Grease will help keep water and air out and create a separation between the two different metals.
