That ring...there are 2.

The first one really tighten it down...then get a brass mallet or rubber hammer and REALLY torque it down.

Then that second lock ring...use blue locktite and torque'er down but not as hard ad the forst ring.

On my BBSHD builds it takes alot of tightening that first ring.

Hope this helps!

some moar better pictures of the other side please so we can see what ya did with the band clamp?

I also use 2 of those worm screw band clamps ..one around the frame and one around the motor and through the one on the frame to lock it all in and you should get no movement.

Ya thanks I used a ball pien hammer and a snub nose chisel and pounded it pretty hard didn’t want to break anything I’ll try again but if not I’ll weld on a motor stopper/holder gizmo to keep it from rotating

oh no not that way..get a wrench that fits the whole thing properly mate, otherwise it's bound to split on ya using that chisel.

just my opinion there..

with the proper fitting wrench you can really wack it with the ball peen hammer ..

those 2 big hose clamps will be yourt friend on this set up mate.

The locking ring on the bottom bracket is not quite sufficient for a motors with so much torque but it’s a work in progress I suppose

So you're on the right track right there brother.
Just use a Smaller band clamp like you have on the motor...
where you have the plastic ties....wrap with rubber and add that clamp like you have there and tighten the one on the motor
down then begin to tighten the one on the frame .....you'll get it :)

But seriously get one of those wrenches...you can really apply more oomph to it
