Massachusetts electric bike laws - is a drivers license needed - Revi Cheetah?

Hi. I'm having trouble understanding the whole electric bike laws in MASSACHUSETTS. I'm looking to buy a Revi Cheetah. Can someone please help. I really hope that I don't need a driver's license.

I talked to the RMV and local PD. They claimed no special license or registrations required and that it's still a bike. I've never had an issue.

No license needed. The regs are to do with the speed levels of the bikes, and whether they have a throttle. But no license needed!
