I have the photon. I switched off my assist to see how hard it was to manually ride.
Man that was a,shock. The motor had enormous drag that got worse with more effort.
I would discribe it as a magnetic break. Like the way those sit-down exercise machines use magnetic to apply drag.
But the harder I tried to pedal the more the drag.
I tried setting it to no assist and just turning it off.
Same thing. When I unplugged the battery the effect stopped. But there is still considerable drag.
Why is the motor electrically drawing? Is it a generator now and putting current into the battery? If it has become a generator where is the juice going?
