We purchased 2 ebikes several years ago. Up until now, they have been great. Unfortunately now one of them looses the power assist function when pedaling. The light still works along with the horn, and the display remains lite. I have wiggles all the wires and their connections to no end without any change. After a few seconds, the bike will power up again.
Any help in troubleshooting this problem would be appreciated. Here is the information on the bike:

36V 15A BATTERY
I know Macwheel is out of business and parts are impossible to get, however if I can identify what the problem is, I can work to try to get a replacement part.
