Currently, I can't even find a picture of the bike. I know the senior is a rare duck, closely related to one of their other models, but biknut is right, we will need some pics.

Finally got the hang of sending Pics. First is of my bike. The one of controller is a random select to examine lead pinouts but still no idea where controller is located. if i find the controller I can find a replacement.

I think what you have is actually a Macwheel City, then possibly they added "senior" moniker because it has a step thru. Is there any kind of door on the frame on the otherside of your cranks? If there isn't anything there then I think you will need to remove the battery and the battery end brackets and look into the tubing. Following the display wiring should lead you to the controller. You of course can add a controller in a controller box or bag and get a square one to fit once you get the old one out and check your connections. KT controllers are good controllers, but you will need a KT display, depending on your connections you may find it easier to get a whole new KT kit. Let us know what you find.

Your controller, if not in the motor itself would almost certainly be in the downtube with the battery.

Follow the wires ;)
I have had all ends of the battery / holder tube etc. and had concluded the controller was integrated into the battery BUT replacement battery disproves that theory. Have replaced controller on my last bike so not entirely new to this. But another question - the display is operating as normal - should i be able to identify the fault within the programme menu.?
Still hoping someone has a photo of the controller and Cables/connectors to bike display as I think i have found one on ebay US
Also don't believe maker is out of business as multiple suppliers in China!!!

This is a picture of a Ranger, but do you have that lower battery connection plate (the bit in the picture that shows up near the pedal). If you remove that what is in there? Also, the Ranger looks like there is some kind of plate on the left side, at the cranks, do you have that?

Hi, I have the exact same battery connection. I had previously removed the plate just to find the 4 wires down the channel.
Not sure i mentioned before but I believed the Escute and Macwheel are similar bikes and the Macwheeel was a spinoff.?!!?
Will find out the KT model of the display as I need to match it to a new controller {if that is indeed the issue)

Found controller at last. Replacement available , see pic. Have pic.of my controller and replacement (which I'm trying to find more locally)

I think if you found it, you should just get it. Macwheel is becoming scarcer and scarcer, and that one specifies that it is for Macwheel. By the way, in the end where was your controller actually hiding?

It was in the tube above the battery. Eventually found after I removed the lock .
I note my controller model number is slightly different from the one advertised - mine 249 vs 250 ?? anyone know the difference ??

Good to know, about the controller in the tube above the battery, a few people have tried to convince us that they have no controller at all. Numbers that don't match worry me. It is imperative that your controller match your display. You have a small motor. You can buy the whole kit for a 350w motor for less from Aliexpress. You can always make your battery connections work. Do you have a 9 pin plug on your motor? You can also go the KT route, but you might have to put the pieces together yourself. Aliexpress hates us right now so it's hard to put packages and prices together. I found one 15 amp full kit that is not KT and one KT semi kit. You may do better from Ireland as a lot of Aliexpress web pages won't even load for us over here currently. The first kit should be pre-programmed, the KT kit you would have to set up. Let us know what you think.
