In your hub motor? I'm not sure that is considered a user serviceable procedure. But I hear you as I have thought of that myself.

I have an update on my noisy planetary gears. I removed the back wheel On the bike removed the cover on the brake side the planetary gears are right there. They were dry no grease at all on the planetary gears I grease the gears reassembled the motor installed the back wheel and it is a quiet bike again. No noise. The job was relatively easy my guess is this job should be done maybe one time a year depending on how much you ride or if you hear a noise coming from the motor that could be the planetary gears.

I do not know who manufactured the motor it's a ecotric 500 W 36 the bike two years old. The grease I used is manufactured by Lucas it's called red and Taky Grease ID number is NLGI number two
