Hey all,

Having a tough time trying to get replacement keys for my 2019 Evelo Aurora ebike’s battery case. Evelo is no help. Locksmiths are no help so far. Thought I’d reach out to you to see if you have any suggestions or thoughts? Pics to show my bike and the lock (with 1067 written on it) and pic of keys before they were lost. TIA!

Have you actually lost the keys or are ya trying to get spares?

Take that number on pic 2 to another locksmith outside of those that told you differently.

Oh ya just have pics. Well, any good locksmith could copy from the pics, just highly probable that he wont, due to
theft questions?!? lol

Sadly, I have no advice for you but this should be an important lesson for others. NEVER leave the keys attached to each other.

Your bike?
I had two evelo's.
Did you register them with Evelo when purchased? They should be able to assist.
I thought their support was awesome.

i lost the key to my shimano steps. It looks very much like yoiur battery. If you can find a diagram of the ock mechanism, the "nose/bill", has no wires in it. I located a best guess of where the spring loaded lock tang came up into the "bill" and drilled ( carefully) a hole. I was then able to push a small (1/4 inch) rod down in and push the tang which released the lock and the battery came right out. The lock mechanism on mine was an AUBUS brand. I found a new one on ebay for 20$ with two keys and simply replaced the lock (it was screwed on). It is highly likely that the lock was simply purchased from lock vendor like AUBUS. Then i convered the hole back with JB weld.
