Hey all, just bought a 36v / 750w rear geared hub Ebike conversion kit from ebikeling to convert my 1987 Specialized Rockhopper. Initial thoughts … it is heavy, and there’s lots of wiring!

1. I need to find a good location for my controller. Connect anybody direct me to some good photos or suggestions? My 36v 20Ahr (medium large) battery is on my downtube, I’m guessing I’m gonna put the controller on my seat tube on the inside using existing water bottle mounts. Was not lucky finding good photos.

2. Do people waterproof the controller (or other things)? There are so many connections and so much exposed, and though I don’t plan on storing it outside, I’m sure I’ll get a caught in some rain storms.

Thanks. Fun working through the setup.

Thanks in advance.

And from the cockpit. PNW Coast gravel bars are pretty comfy! Not sure how to attach my thumb toggle switch … clamp diameter is too small for my bars
