I am wanting to sell my self-built e-bike. I am wondering if I need the buyer to sign a waiver of some sort so if anything does happen after they have purchased and ridden off with the e-bike from me, I am not responsible?

I live in Australia if that changes anything.

This is the main reason I don't assemble and sell ebikes. Liability. I doubt a waiver is safe here. Civil court with the family of an injured rider would not be fun.

I have no idea about this in AUS. That's the kind of thing I would pay a lawyer to answer, if I were you.

You are prudent to think about this.

That's right, I don't want to be dealing with problems in court. Thanks for your reply!
