In an effort to put my mirrors out further, I put a double handlebar extension on my bike with my bad eyesight and lack of dexterity. I could not get the bike extension clamp to hold the rubber spacer enough so I can tighten it so I flipped it around and put the large side of the extender bracket around the supplied 4 inch extender And inserted it into some handlebar grips as you can see the extender sticks out a little bit enough for me to put the mirror on, so it’s further out. Those are the original handlebar grips on this bike which I’ve changed out previously. I’ve also inserted a third extender in between the two grips to sturdy up the rubber grips And bring them together so the mirrors don’t bounce around when you’re riding.
I’m just curious if people think this looks a little wacky or not, I really like my mirrors and they’re hard to find any that have long arm extensions and when I do find them, the mirrors are either chrome or the shape is kind of stupid. I like these mirrors. Let me know your thoughts TIA.

Looks great! :)

I think fat tire bikes are a one-trick pony. If you never ride on hard surfaces, only snow, mud, rough gravel, sand, or baby seals, then they make sense. Oddly, I only see people riding them on hard-surface trails and roads. A few weeks ago, I watched a kid jump off a curb on a fatty and blow his back tire; the tire was destroyed, non-repairable. Fatties aren't the kind of bike that you ride somewhere to go riding. I never see any while riding single-track, off-road, or long gravel roads. It would be fun to rent a fatty at the beach to thrash around while smoking a fatty. I never understood why people chose them as a single bike, but I never understand people who own more than one bike at a time, either. Mirrors on the other hand, I thoroughly recommend. I don't know how anyone rides without mirrors around cars or other riders. I went with trekking bars, so there are multiple handholds and lots of room to hang items. Another reason is that on windy single track, it's easier to turn narrow bars a thousand times in a row, even with front panniers. - https://photos.app.goo.gl/owx61e75m2nsSdjJ8

I can understand why you think that....and heavy as a motorcycle tire.
They also have massive rolling resistance and increased weight. I "think" that because it's true. I didn't want a moped or mini-motorcycle. I wanted an ebike to ride anywhere in America where bicycles are allowed and one with a realistic range of 100 miles on a single pack. A bike that is at home on single track as it is in traffic.

Love my 26x4 tires wouldn't make it half the places I do on skinny tires. I am looking forward to putting a better grade of fat tires on my bike. The tires that came from the factory are akin to balloons to thin and wimpy, although the tread pattern isn't bad.

... I know not many of us live two miles back in the rough country like I do...
More than you'd think, but I covered that already. "I think fat tire bikes are a one-trick pony. If you never ride on hard surfaces, only snow, mud, rough gravel, sand, or baby seals, then they make sense."

I ride both on and off road and love the comfort and stability! To each their own...

I think you are missing the point of a fat tire bike...old people...more confidence, better traction and with walk mode I don't have to push the heavy thing up a hill. if I were 45 years younger I would try down hill mountain biking it looks way cool but I don't have the reflexes I used to, just the extra time to heal. all I want to do is cruise around and enjoy a longer ride. ride till I get tired and motor my way home. sometimes it's not about pushing limits.

I use a wrist mirror on the back of my left hand. it's a habit I've had since the 70's. I had some large mirrors on a fast light weight motorcycle and over 80mph it got a bad shake in the front end and after checking front brakes, fork oil level, tire pressure and front end alignment(tweaked fork) I removed the mirrors and it went away. I think bikes look cooler without mirrors anyway....but you gotta have them. a company called emgo makes them and sells them through DennisKirk.com.

I think it looks a little bug like, but I can't decide which bug....maybe this one. Kind of an Atom Ant mojo.View attachment 19260

Got identical mirrors as freebies when I bought the KBO,(along with a very cool large set of himiway panniers)
I'm facing the same issues, want to put 'em on the wired freedom I've yet to ride. I have a bar like that, but it
would defeat the purpose as I need wider for a trailer. I don't know what to do with 'em. everynthing I've tried was awkward:rolleyes:

Lame and heavy.
They are motorcycle-style "lollipop mirrors" and mounted where they are, will show your arms/elbows mostly. They need to be further out.

I recommend Mirrcycle bar-end mirrors. They're very good, light, inexpensive and also US-made.

Yeah, bin using those fo at least 20 years. after messing will the diamond shaped ones for while, put those on the Wired fFeedom.
Had to use a piece of inner tube for a shim. I really love the KBO*, paid $1000, they're down to $800 now. Better bike than my
1st ebike that cost $2700, assymetrical stays, became unridable. The KBO is South Korean, a real bargain for the price.
