I buy my KT controllers from topBikeKit. They have their own web site with that name. Now, their web site shows real low prices but when you get to shipping you get reamed. As an alternative what I have done is found the TopBikeKit seller on Ebay, where the prices are higher but shipping is free.So lets say I scrap the battery control style config and purchase a external controller. Maybe be able to use my throttle, brake switches, Motor, and pedal assist sensor. Is there such an animal I could buy? Any recommended path more traveled I could venture down?
On the flip side of that, the Top Bike Kit Dot Com listings sell matching parts that go with the controller. If you want this to freaking work and are tired of wondering, maybe thats a path to consider.
So if your battery controller was a 15a (continuous) 22a peak, then thats pretty straightforward and a common power level for lower powered 500w (small plug) motors.
here's the T9S with Julet plugs.

You must buy a wiring harness to plug into other Julet stuff on your bike. TBK sells a 1T4 cable that is display, throttle and 2x brakes. However their brake cables are red plugs, which is great for me as my Maguras use red instead of the generic yellow. If your brake cutoffs are yellow, you need to either get red to yellow adapters (not common but available) or buy a 1T2 instead and fuggedabout brake cutoffs.
Scroll down on this page and all of the optional items have direct links for individual inspection.
If you have a KT display doesn't matter where you bought it, it should work fine so no need to buy another. The thumb throttle links don't work but you will find the 130D on their site and its the standard bottom of the line generic thumb throttle. I personally go to Amazon and buy the 300X throttle which is light years better and still inexpensive.
Looks like the PAS sensor links don't all work right but I buy their 8PAS sensor and it works great.
When I buy a controller I buy their T12S. Thats a 30a peak controller that is the most powerful one on the market still made for a small plug motor. These guys are the only seller of it so far as I can tell. Its physically larger but not by too much, and the 12 mosfets inside keep it from getting too hot.

A T12S (which may be too much controller for you?) with no display or throttle, 1T4, no brake cutoff sensors, a motor extension cable and an 8 magnet PAS sensor is about $54. Regular mail delivery is another $25. OR use this web site to see what it is you want to buy from them, and then go look for the seller on Ebay and buy the individual bits there, which is what I do.
