I just bought a Kryptonite KryptoLok 914 integrated chain lock. It's just like this 915, but has a different key style:
It came with a rather thick sheet of instructions.
I'm thinking of one member who moved into a retirement apartment building and sold his car to get a nice eBike. He went and spent a bunch of money on locks, since it was his main transportation.
I looked into their offer. It can either reimburse the deductible if you have it insured, or a certain amount based on the security rating of the lock. Full details are here: https://shop.kryptonitelock.com/en/atpo_landing_pages/register-for-anti-theft.html
It's pretty basic stuff, but you have to keep a copy of the receipts (bike and lock) as well as the key #, photo of the bike and police report. It has a cost associated with it, so would probably only be worth it in higher crime areas. (esp. if you're already paying extra insurance for it)
This lock is rated 6/10, and my bike I lock it with was $1800, so 5 years worth of protection would be $35. Worth it I think, if I lived in a city or college campus.
The lock is a good length too, long enough to wrap through the frame and maybe around an 8" diameter post or tree, and the right length to be worn cross-shoulder.
