I would love to see someone put together a comprehensive bicycle lighting controller.
It would drive a dual beam headlight, marker lights, turn signals and brake light, all from a single controller powered from the bike battery or alternatively a single rechargeable 26650 battery pack. Lights could turn on automatically with motion or from a handlebar control pod.
Lights could be sold separately or the user could supply his own LED lights to match their style.
Ideally it would offer an optional trailer lighting connector.
A deluxe version could include an alarm with a loud siren and would flash all the lights. It should even be easy to wire the alarm inline with the bike battery using a wye connector to disable the bike if the alarm was set off.
I am amazed this isn’t available already. It would be a great crowd funded kickstart project for an electronics student to make a needed product that currently doesn’t exist on the market.
