Good morning all - am brand new to the forum and just bought my first ebike yesterday - Velotric nomad 2

I was wondering if mik bike bags live up to their price and expectation - given I’m a novice, overweight and old I wont be traveling far on trails and don’t want a big bag - should I be looking for a small Mik hd bag? Not sure if I make sense ha

Thanks much

I've done very well with bags from Ebay. Some of their older bags are much better made than current ones. This trunk bag just came up from their Canadian site. It might tide you over until you figure out what you want to do. I don't think there is a tariff until July 8th. It's just one possibility.

I've never used the mik bags, I always use the velcro attached bags and always try to find smaller profile ones. Almost every bag I see now are large and larger ones way to big for my needs. I actually modified a top tube bag to attach to my rear rack as I like the size and it suites my needs well.

I think a lot of the mik bags are over priced. It sounds silly but you can get other brackets to go on your mik bracket to adapt other bracket bags, like the Topeak bags, so just find something you like.

My cargo bike has a Blix basket bolted to the rear and this Wynex bag is at one end. It is much rounder than it looks. It has molle straps to hook to anything, a double zipper and small interior pockets. It holds all my tools, gloves, glasses and etc. If I need to fully load the basket I can even resnap it and have it ride on the side of the rack frame. It is one of my favorites.

Thanks I’ve seen Topeka on Amazon reasonably priced so I should probably not be focused on Mik as I don’t really care bout it

I think bags are getting a little too expensive for my tastes. It's just a bag that straps on the back luggage rack, IMO. So keep it simple but don't go too small. I bought a my bag for $15 and it velcro's onto the luggage rack very securely. No problem with it falling off. I carry some heavy things in it sometimes. I carry extra water, lunch, wallet, phone, keys, extra locks, etc. All at the same time and still it's only $15. Zippers work fine.
