Hi everyone.

I'm new to the world of Ebikes. Having a lot of fun so far. I bought this on Ebay a few months ago - The seller said that he purchased it's an import from Poland. The frame looks like that of a knaap. He installed a second battery in addition to the stock battery housed under the seat.

Basically, i'm looking at options to increase speed and range. I don't have a lot of knowledge as to what's technically possible - but i love the way this bike looks and would prefer to keep it, rather than buy a new Ebike altogether.

Right now this bike tops out at about 24mph with a realistic range of about 18 miles just on the throttle. Is it possible to fit a 5000w rear motor to this thing and what kind of battery power would that require? Does anyone have any experience with upgrading an existing ebike to increase speed? Are there any resources or services that you know that might be of help? Wondering what my options are and what the cost/effort is going to be as opposed to purchasing a new ebike. I'd like a ride that has the potential to go between 40-50 mph.

Would a 5000W motor possible to fit, probably, is that a reasonably sane idea, no.

Ways to increase speed with current motor, - increase battery voltage.

Cheaper, easier way - go to a hi-speed DD hub in the 1500 watt range and shoot for 30-35 as a feasible max.

I'd be happy with that. Could you source one for me so i know roughly what i'm looking for?

Alibaba have great battery's, just go for a higher voltage than the one you have currently got, sorry about the abusive language in the other guys comment
