I just got my new ebike, its a Zhongqi bike but it has Zeegir on the side of it. The display is a YL81F. I am trying to get into where I can change the display from MPH ro KMPH but when I push the + & - , I get a screen that appears to be asking for a 4 digit code. (See picture) I tried pushing the "I" button but that only moves the cursor to one of the 4 spaces at the bottom of the screen. I have been trying to find out what this code is and have tried 1212 and 1313. No luck. Anyone seen this screen before?

I just got a Zeegr with the same display. I finally figured out the code, hopefully it works for you. Change all the zeros to 1, so it will read "1111". After changing the last number to 1 hit "i" again and you should be in the Personal Parameters.

Question for you: When you ride your bike at a constant throttle position for a couple seconds does the Cruise Control go on automatically?

I've only ridden it a couple of times and have noticed the cruise control seem to kick in. I was thinking that I had some how initiated it and was going to carefully pay attention on my next ride tomorrow. I will let you know. Im just going to head out to the bike and try your code. Thank you. Ill respond back, hopefully with good news!!

According to the display manual parameter 17p is the setting for disabling cruise control. I set it to 00 (off) and it still turns on automatically. When cruise control is on the display will have a speedometer icon on the right lower side. Hitting the brakes turns it off, but I want it off off.

Gave your code a try and it worked!!! Thank you!! Changed my MPH to KMPH and then went through the settings to see them all. I did notice the Cruisecontrol option to turn off (17P). I tried also but mine wouldn't turn off either even when it was set to off in the settings. I do have a call in to support so if they ever answer me, Ill be sure to ask about that and report back. Thanks again!!

You're welcome!

I have an update on the cruise control issue. The seller of my bike checked with the technicians. You can NOT turn off cruise control. Apparently the display has the parameter to turn it off (17p), BUT the controller isn't programmed to recognize that parameter. It's seems completely insane to program the controller for automatic cruise control.

This appears to be a chinese bike sold under different names and configurations. Do you folks have dual motors? evicbikes.com/products page has your manual. It says it's a pdf. but it comes up on their page. Some people also say that there might be a jumper on the cruise control at the controller, which is a cheap way of doing things. I'll print the page on cruise control, to see if it is any help.

I have the manual. I have set 17p to "00" it does nothing. As I mentioned above, the seller checked with the technicians. They confirm that the controller is not programmed to accept the 17p parameter, so there is no way to disable cruise control. I'm doing a lot of off road riding. Much of the riding is on ridges. I was almost pedal assisted off a steep ridge. At least I was able to turn off pedal assist, so it's just throttle now. Unfortunately, there is no way to disable cruise control. What "usually" works when doing some of these technical trails is fanning the throttle. As long as the throttle isn't in the same position for 2+ seconds cruise control will not engage. I still wish I could fully disable it.

That is why I mentioned the jumper. Do you know anyone who can read circuit boards? If they used a jumper, it can be cut. I will hunt around to see if anyone followed up on that hack and if I find anything I'll let you know. Good luck.

So, on the Yolin80c, they say if you hold the plus/up button you can override the cruise control. I don't know if this works on the 81f. Worth a shot. Looking further, I don't think this will work unless you have a heart symbol on the screen.

No heart symbol. It's a speedometer icon. I'll give it a try though. We've been having a lot of rain, so I'm not sure when I'll get to ride again. Thanks!

I finally got my answer from the factory. The controller is not programmed to recognize the parameter setting. They said, Sorry!!! lol

The rain cleared so I went for a ride. Unfortunately, holding the up/+ button didn't do anything. I'm getting used to the cruise control now. I think I'll be able to reprogram myself to work with it
