how to remove a seat post from an Elby e-bike

does anyone know how to remove a seat post from an Elby E bike. when I pull up on the seat post it will rise to the top but it seems like there is something that is preventing the seat post from coming out of the tube. No response from Elby after several e-mails. Any suggestions?

It’s gotta be able to come out….. pull harder maybe? *shrug*

Maybe swing by a local bike shop and see what they think.

The controller cover mounted to the down post is through screwed into the seat post?
