I think, for me, the ebike has been a godsend with all of my disabilities, but was interested in how many of you would be riding today without them?

Well guys I’m 80 year ole. I just got back from a hour ride in these mountains. I drive most these inclines with power
assist. Got a little dizzy because the heat. My bad, should have waited time this evening. But I,m a hard head. I,m
Having a ball. If you hear I dropped dead doing this at my age, then you will know I died having fun? Fly

Until E-bikes got really advanced with my health issues I never even considered riding a bike again. I spent from 05-07 learning to walk again after a large MS episode. MS is only one of my many health issues. About 10-15 years ago I had given up riding motorcycles on account of the difficulty of balancing the weight at stops and still having two children at home while being a single parent. My balance SUCKS! I may get another MC now that my kids are grown and off living their own lives. I still have an active MC license. But I'm working on a cross build MC and bike with funky solar powered fairing. lol I plan to ride this as a bike keeping the speeds generally in bike range (under 30mph) even though it should be capable of cruiser MC speeds in other words a little over 100mph... I was a drag racer for over 20 years and still feel the need for speed from time to time.

You sound like me big kid. I do not have the heath issues you have I,m just old. I love your net name Big Kid. That
Would have fit me. I,m also a ole Drag Racer, I had a jr fuel dragster in the early 70,s Small block injected front engine
dragster. We got out of that & went to go kart racing to save money. I can,t say I saved a dime, there nothing cheap
if you take it to hart. Now I,m riding around on a e-bike hoping I don,t get run over. (Smile) l have had a great time
as has my wife of almost 59 years. We have so many great memories as I,m sure you do also. Fly

Fly BiggKidd fits me well as Kidd is my last name and all my toys over the years had tags with some version of KidsToy on them. My best and longest owned was a backyard built 79 Z28 Camaro that I raced every weekend at two or three tracks while driving it on the street whenever I wasn't working. The car ran a best time ever of 8.73 in the quarter mile while I generally ran mid 10's unless I lined up against a faster dial in then I'd wipe my dial and either dial theirs or a tenth faster. I preferred being the chaser! I never once in 20 years lined up against a car I wasn't able to run faster than in MY class! Sand bagging was allowed in the pro foot brake class I ran in. That car was truly something else and way ahead of it's time seeing as by 95 I could get down in the 8s on a 29/10.50-15 tire which as you know had about a 8 inch wide contact point. It was truly amazing pulling a 1.19 60 foot on motor and 1.11 on NOS.............. It could run down to about 9 flat on motor alone just by turning harder!

Man that,s flat cooklng for a door slammer. I remember pro stocks in the 70 running in the low ten,s. Crazy how far
everything has advanced. Who would EVER think a top fuel car could run 340 mph in 1000 ft. The crazy thing they
Cut the 1/4 mile from 1320 feet to 1000 feet to slow them down, ha, ha! Wow! you & I could have a great e- ride together
If we just live closer, my friend. Fly

I likley would be riding my road bike if I didn't have the ebike but it would be a lot less. I got hit by a car early last year as I was walking down the street (on the sidewalk) and it has put a crimp on a lot of activities so the ebike comes in handy.

I was always a biking junkie and recently have not been able to do what I loved - now I can go back and enjoy what I loved thanks to ebike technology

As I age my balance has gotten really sketchy, so I ride an Etrike, a Lectric 2.0. Not having to get my tired arthritis plagued old legs over a mountain bike saddle is nice, and I hopefully won't fall off and end up on YouTube! Ebikes and trikes are a real blessing to us older old geezers!

Probably wouldn't be riding today if not for my e-bike. My analog bike was gathering dust for a few years until recently. I decided to give it a go and it went okay. I'm hoping I can motivate and put a few miles on it every week, we shall see.

I believe you will be motivated - all my years of biking were as much for stress release and just clearing my head, aside from exercise - being on this forum will also serve as a great motivator also

You’ll be ok I think - I have 2 fused discs, Parkinson’s, a replaced knee and the other scheduled to be replaced - I haven’t dumped yet, but I don’t do anything stupid, so…

We moved where I live now less than 10 years ago. Prior to that I lived in the Spokane area where I would ride a Gary Fisher Joshua F2. That was a blast! Where I live now has way too steep of hills for recreational riding, especially with full suspension. I did try for a while shortly after moving here, but there are many hills that had to be walked - it just wasn't fun.

Ebikes can be very good for your health and cardio, I ride every morning 10.5 miles. And when my ride ends I feel so much better and have more energy for my day. Stay off the throttle and use your pedal assists to get a great workout.

As I recall from some of your pics, you also have the benefit of very nice scenery
