How do you transport your ebike?

Yeah I didn't even want a 70# e-bike. I cant imagine a bike more than twice that. My full suspension Felt e-bike is 45# with a BBSHD, and my hard tail fat tire is 40# a Growler with BBS02. And my wife's Specialized with a BBS02 is only 35#.

I can pretty easily put them in the back of our Toyota Tundra which has a pretty high tail gate without using a ramp.

I gave little consideration to being able to load my bike onto my car as 90% of my riding is from my home. There are plenty of good riding near me especially if you dont mind long half day plus rides. However i was well aware of weight issues and i am planning to get a trailer hitch and proper carrier.
I was not trying to single you out.

I guess a lot of people buy the eBike with the idea to ride mostly locally, then later, they get to thinking: "Wouldn't it be nice to take it with me to explore other areas too?"

When I went through that phase, I decided to put the money into a lighter, folding eBike instead of hitches & racks. :)

Hello. New guy here - ordered an Anioki A9 a few days ago Be here in a few days. The weight is around 180 pouds.
What to use for hauling a heavy ebike around? Vehicle has a trailer hitch.
Suggestions? TIA.
seated...< naw i have a colletion of bike racks, the latest is rated for 200 pds, deceptive video, didn't have the mount rail promised.
it'll do for the wired, dubious about your bike.
Tractor Supply.

This is something I've been considering, not for the car roof but to bolt to a cheaper, rear platform rack that I already have. It appears to have a better wheel locking setup at a good price. What do you all think?

This is my solution in the photo and I’m delighted with it. My car is a Mini Cooper S that can’t be fitted with a tow-hitch because of the twin exhaust pipes in the middle of the rear bumper. I’ve taken it on several lengthy trips and you hardly know it’s there - just a little wind noise above 70mph.

I’d been searching for an answer for a couple of years when I spotted this new devise. It’s called a Pender eBikeLifter and cost around $900USD shipped to me in UK from Germany. It lifts up to 30kg (66lbs) effortlessly via two gas struts and my RadRunner-3 Plus weighs exactly that with battery removed.

Check the video in the link - it looks like magic and it pretty much is!

Here’s another link to a review of the eBikeLifter. It’s in German but you’ll get the drift. See the slalom road test at the end. I have no connection with eBikeLifter other than as a happy customer.

I use this carrier, both my bikes weigh in at about 100#'s, and I have NO problems carrying these bikes off road with this type of carrier, comes in 1 & 2 place, Alum or steel, and is rated for 500#'s + for weight.
I also added this folding ramp which makes for easy loading and unloading, the OEM ramp is too short and hard to work with, plus the folding ramp will attach to the carrying rack like the OEM ramp.
Get this type of carrier with the 1/2" bolts to make wheel pocket to fit your bikes tires/size,
use 4' NO hook ratchet straps for the securing of the wheels to the carrier, and a short ratchet strap with with soft loops around the seat post to securely hold the bike into the carrier, several of these type of carriers comes with all the straps/gear to secure the bike/rack.

Here's another option for those with 2 heavy ebikes (ie. Like eahora Romeo 2 or Aniioki A9s) that weigh 100+ lbs.

We use the Hyperax Volt 2 for our two Discover 1 by Velotric ebikes. Easy to use, locks into the 2" receiver via a threaded bolt and lock. For additional security we chain the ebikes to the bike rack using a Vevor Security Chain Lock. It is SUPER HEAVY with a very solid lock.
