To be helpful - see attached "manual" for your DCP 18 display.

Frankly a EggRider V2 might serve you even better

Another resource you have - Melbourne Powered in Ascot Vale - and Sat Oct 21 is Demo Day to boot. Capable people there - for Aussies (just ribbing mate)

Very unique eBike mate - respect ! |

On your Headlight - hear in the US (or on Aliexpress) we have a ton of LED Headlight options including "Super Bright LED Lights" In AU - your gov gets real touchy about "bright lights" - so the "good headlight stuff" is more limited.

Powered Melbourne handles complete bike's with 510 mid-drive - and they also sell 510 "kit's" and components. The Egg Rider V2 out of the UK is kindof unique as it incorporates setting parameters for the 510 that "normally" you have ti use PC connection. PwrMel is familiar with your Controller/Display now - familiar with G510 - and familiar with the EggRider = which frankly means these chums are eBike Hip !

Yeah we live in a Nanny state here AU. Our speeds are limited to 25k that is okay if you are not going up a steep hill. Though NSW has put up the wattage up to 500 but all the other states 250w. The lights are pretty bright. I am disabled rider which is why i have a trike.

I nanny/gov thing over the past few years has really hit the ego's of my waterfront friend's who have Tinnies down there - their ego's are still bruised from all the new engine restrictions over the past 4yrs.

You'll love your eBike - it's freedom !

Changing your speed limit cannot be done through the display. You must get deeper in the programming using a special cable connected to the drive motor. The M510 communication protocol is can-bus which is relatively new. Previous bafang motors used uart protocol and there is a lot of information and programming software for these earlier versions. EggRider v2 is not compatible with can- bus. Searching for bafang programming canbus leads to a confusing mess. It seems there are some cables that can do simple adjustments like tire size and speed limit adjustment without a pc connection and there are some folks that are able to get down to similar data as the uart versions.

Next we will have padded poles for the idiots who are using mobiles and not watching where they are walking. UK is also a nanny state and Manchester already has padded poles.
