I'm lucky to have a vaulted ceiling in a double stall garage. It's also used as a workshop so floorspace is a priority. I already have a ceiling mounted Racor I think a hinged horizontal assembly would work best for eBike unloading/loading and short term or winter time storage. May build this using aluminum channel stock. I'd have to fashion some type of lifting system using a Harbor Freight worm gear winch and a cordless drill.

Ceiling Storage, similar to this;

Ideas??

I'm satisfied now. Beefed up my Racor PHL-R Lift with some .125" x 1.25' x 1.25" angle iron on ends and back-to-back .125" x 1" x 1" angle iron at mid-point making a t-beam. PHL-R capacity #250 (distributed). With #80 on the rack and my Surly Disc Trucker 26" connected using kayak hoist hooks. For the 4' span of 't-beam' deflection is .0625". Vaulted ceiling just tall enough to suspend bike 9" above the Tacoma bed cover, near 60" off the floor. Takes a whole 2 minutes to move truck, lower lift/unhook bike/roll away/raise lift, and put truck back in garage.

That looks super handy to also load/unload your ebike straight into the Tacoma tray if needed!
