Hold Me Back . . .

Wow! Watching the video, I am impressed!
As a fun bike it’s got a lot going for it… only problem I can see for me in UK is the hoops I’d have to jump through to use it on public roads….
License, insurance, moped helmet , registration etc oh and L plates !!
But I love it! $3000 is a bargain!

My gripe is the suspension layout. The front forks have a shock, but the design moves the rider all the way back almost over the rear wheel, where he gets almost no benefit from the front shocks. They provide no rear shock, it is a "hard tail design". Add a rear suspension, and it would be more interesting to me.

Agreed it would be better with rear suspension. I'm not actually thinking of buying it, I just love the way it looks, like a "low rider" motorcycle.

E-bikes are getting Faster, More Powerful, and Cooler Looking, but they are pushing the limits on what you can legally ride on the streets without License, Registration and Insurance.

I also was not impressed with an eight second 0 to 20 time, considering it had a 1500 watt motor being fed over 1400 watts in Sport Mode.
There is a long list of bikes that do it in 5 seconds, most being dual hub motors. Some being monster 3Kw and up single hub motors.

The bike I ride was one of the ones that performed 0-20 Mph in 5 seconds. It is only 500 watts more power, and a 48v battery.

Harley bike's invented the term "Hard Tail" - and I agree - this will be a Hard Tail Banger .

"Beach BMX" but frankly based on Spec - at $3K - you are paying about $1,400 of that $3K for "style".

I would be interested in a deeper dive into that 52V "20ah" battery pack...

It does have a LOT of room to stuff more battery packs. It could be a range-monster with a little love.

8 psi helps.

I find this contraption HORRIBLE :D . "De gustibus non disputandum est" (tastes are not debatable) said the Latins, but as a fan of rationality and-eventually-style it's really not for me!

Feel free to downvote this comment, mates... :ROFLMAO:

It's awful, just like most of Harley's air-cooled V-twin motorcycles. Allow me to justify that opinion:
  • It has a shock fork, but almost no weight is over the fork, so it's just extra weight.
  • No rear suspension, but feet are forward. This means that every shock in the road goes right up the spine, as one cannot use the feet to support some body weight.
No, I disagree with this YouTuber. Harley has made the right decision by branching off their Serial 1 Cycle Company. Instead of making that garbage above, they have top-of-the-line eBikes. They even have modern style!

I do wonder why they left their balance bikes in the Harley brand, instead of under Serial 1:

Maybe it's early brainwashing, to create the next generation of H-D motorcycle customers.

Hoping it isn't a maintenance nightmare like every last one of their products over their entire existence. Otherwise, looks cool, like every one of...

If their previous bicycle success (?) is any indication........ = Hard Pass

Harley does bicycles from time to time. Maybe motorcycle enthusiasts will be interested in an electric motored road bicycle with apehangers? Who thinks a 100+pound, 28 mph no pedaling vehicle is really a bicycle? Not me, more laws, please! Keep it on the roads, not our paths.
