Hi folks,
Has anybody removed the rear wheel of a HIMO C20? 6 spokes have come adrift on my sons bike. It will be infinitely easier to have a go at rebuilding the wheel if I can completely detach the wiring. I have no technical manual. There is no handy connector for the motor bearing the rear wheel, so I might try and have the cover off the controller and see if I can detach the motor cable which is routed through the frame

Cheers
Graham

Most but not all wheels with a hub motor have Juliet plug I think it's called within 8 to 12 inches of the motor, it may be tuck inside the frame and it may not have one.
..... I had a go at removing the C20 wheel. There is indeed a connector near the control box inside the frame. Here's the procedure:
1) Invert bike & remove the bike chain using splitter tool
2) Remove control box cover screws
3) Undo the rear axle nuts, and remove the safety retaining bracket screws.
4) Lift the rear wheel out of the frame recesses, and move it rearwards by 5cm
5) Remove the control box cover
6) Lift up the control unit, and pull the cable (feeding the motor) out of the frame. The connector is just inside the frame.
7) Disconnect the motor cable
8)Disconnect the gear change cable from the deraillieur, and pull forwards through the frame (this is to allow space for the motor power/control calbe to feed through the frame hole)
9) Pull the motor cable rearwards out of the frame - needs a bit of wiggling.....
