I just got a HeyBike Mars 2.0 and I'm having a bit of trouble assembling it. I'm wondering if any other owners can help.

The problem is the front fender. The instructions say to attach the two support arms near the axle, and then screw in the tab at the top of the fork where the headlight goes. My problem is that when I do that, the arms are so long they push the fender down on to the wheel.

When I position the fender so it follows the curve of the wheel, and is attached at the top of the fork, the support arms go far past the points where they are supposed to be attached. I'm not sure what's wrong, but it almost seems like this is a fender for a 24 inch wheel, not a 20 inch wheel.

Can any owners of a Heybike Mars 2.0 do me a favor and measure the support arms on their front fork? On mine, each support arm extends 11.75 in / 30 cm past the black plastic fender, and the full length of the metal piece is 29.5 in / 76 cm long. Does that match up with yours?

Pictures of assembled 2.0’s show the fenders attached to the same place you are using but with a more radical bend in the support arm.
Bend it and be happy.

Hello, I'm wondering if they sent you the right fender stays. You shouldn't have to bend it like Beckham to make it fit your bike. One of the things I like about Heybike is that they keep stock parts, with pictures, available by model on their site. You can head over there and see which stay looks like yours and then let them know if it is wrong.

As I suggest on these types of post contact the vendor. It does appear from what others have said as well that you have the wrong fender stays.

Yep as others stated. You got the wrong fender stay. That looks like a rear fender stay on a front fender.

Your front fender stay should look like this.
