After a small fall with my heybike mars 2.0 the rear brake lever when pressed slowly wold not brake, tried bleeding but did not fix the issue. Now I replaced the complete rear brake lever and that fixed the issue but now I can't seem to get the bleeding right the lever always feels spongy and can't get it stiff. Here what i did.
I bought a bleeding kit on Amazon complete with all the hardware. I removed the rear pads and I inserted the spacer to hold the piston back did the whole process of bleeding the brakes and closed all the bleeding ports, With the spacer still in place in the rear when pressing on the lever it is very stiff not spongy, but when I put the pads back in place and test the brakes the lever doesn't feel hard anymore it spongy and I have to squeeze had on the lever to get some braking power.
Is there something I not doing right or is there something else I have to do.
I did not replace the fittings at the end of the hydraulic tube when replacing the brake lever, does this have to be changed each time the tube is unscrewed from the lever?
