Hello all, my name is Craig, and I've been riding bikes on and off all my life. Just turned 66 and recently retired from a long working life of truck driving. I've never owned or ridden an ebike until today, and it was pretty darn amazing, for me anyway. The wife and I like to ride and we're getting old, so ebike's looked pretty tempting to us so I took the plunge and ordered 2 bikes online from Lectric and waited. Several days later for some strange reason they cancelled the order without explanation, guess they don't want my business? Anyway I went ebike shopping today at a very well known Amish bike store (Martins) and test drove and bought 2 Aventon Sinch 2.5's. So glad I bought locally and was able to test ride and see all the inventory available, the knowledge they gave us was amazing. Looking forward to getting these out on the local bike paths and get some fitness and enjoyment with my wife.

Welcome aboard.

That is odd about Lectric. Overall, they have a positive reputation.
Yes I agree as everything I have heard was very positive. They sent me an email 2 days ago explaining what happened and if I understand it correctly they changed accessory packages/ or upgraded equipment that I was offered when ordered, and they didn't have enough supply to fulfill it. On May 1st they changed to the new accessory upgraded package and my order got cancelled and not moved to the newer available unit. They offered to make good on it with more free accessories. It's all good and I look at it as, things happen for a reason, I'm very happy with my Sinch and will do business with Lectric again n the future at some point.

Welcome, from Wisconsin.

That's sure strange behavior from Lectric. You may want to check the spam folder in your email. Maybe they tried to reach out to you with an important question and you didn't get back so they canceled? Or maybe they're permanently out of stock on that model? They are typically one of the better direct-to-consumer eBike brands for customer service.

On the other hand, Aventons are a bit nicer quality anyway. I'm sure you'll enjoy them. I'm not sure about the decision to spec 4" wide fat tires; that'll sap some extra energy compared to the 3" wide tires on the Lectrics...

Let us know how she goes!

Enjoy your stay.
