Hi, I'm Greg and this is my first post.
Just acquired a Schwinn Meridian Trike with the thought of electrifying it.
Would like to find a source for the rear axle sprocket just like the one that is on there now.
Anyone know where I can buy one?

Thanks
Greg

I just got it home yesterday.
Took off the basket, so I could pick a good point to mount the 'lectric motor. Bought the motor and a controller from Amazon. Still need to buy other things as I go. After looking at the situation I decided it would be a good spot to mount everything where the basket was. If I can find that rear axle sprocket, I can put it right next to the sprocket that the chain from the pedals goes to. I am hoping I can remount the the basket on top of the box that will contain the motor, controller and battery etc.
Should be a fun project.
Greg

Here's another welcome from the Pacific Northwest. I'm in Southwest Washington state about 45 miles up highway five from Portland. Have you considered using a front wheel motor kit? I see that you've already purchased some stuff to make us set up similar to the commercial trike from from Lectric. Are you planning buying some sort of a differential for the rear axle? If not with a live axle, you may have some turning difficulties.

All we've got out here is gravel roads so going around turns is pretty easy.
I've heard that 75 or 80% of the roads are gravel in this state.
If it gives me any trouble I'll think about it and maybe come up with a fix.

Small steps.....
