Hello.
Trying to convert my 2024 Velotric D2 from left hand thumb throttle to right hand half twist.
The connectors that are used on many e-bikes are called “HiGo Mini-B”.
I am wondering if there is more than one standard size of this style plug?
The ones on my bike seem quite a bit smaller than what arrived on the new throttle.
Inside dimension on the yellow male adapter (new throttle) is .244 inches, or about 6.2mm.
The orange female (bike connection) portion is .175 inches, or about 4.44mm, so about 30%
smaller than what came on the throttle. Has anyone come across different sizes for this particular
3 pin connector?

I'm not sure about the size, but I would caution you to make sure that the pin outs are exactly the same between the thumb throttle and the twist throttle.

do i risk damage to the controller if they are reversed. I saw a video where a guy had to try several different brands of throttles to find one that worked. I guess polarity being one consideration.

I've been trying to figure this out. I think the key is that the connector is actually orange not yellow. Do you have a multimeter? If you truly want to do this, I think your cheapest way out is to solder or crimp on the proper

plug from a cheap thumb throttle, but you would definitely need to know power, ground and signal. I'm going to post some pics. Notice the row of throttles, far left, plug like you bought, far right orange plug. I went to "Higoconnectors.com" and even that didn't straighten this out. I have a Velotric cargo bike. I will look at it when it stops raining and see if that makes anything clearer. If you go to Higo you will see some new connectors for newer ebikes that we have never even seen before. I think the throttle you bought is basically a Bafang type. Discover 2 is a relatively new bike, so people haven't done this yet. It may have to do with what controller plugs the company was dealing with. I have to add, I don't know if that plug pic I added is your bikes set up. You would have to check.

So, I measured my plug on my Velotric with calipers. The female side, going to the controller, is .2225 wide, that is the inside nub. The interior of the male side is about .235. I will post a cable that is on Amazon ( lf you want to solder) and otherwise a throttle that I think might work. You should still check plus minus and signal. Both of these have the correct measurements to fit a Velotric.
