Hi

Does anyone know if there are instructions on how to replace a ride control bracket on a Giant FastRoad E+ 1 Pro Electric Bike. I've tried to search on the web but nothing available for a FastRoad E+ 1 Pro Electric Bike. Any assistance would be really appreciated

Many thanks

Hi, I think the word, "control" might be throwing things off a bit here. Do you mean the display bracket? Like these:

So, are you saying your display button bracket is broken or you don't understand the install? The bracket should have a simple pinch, hexbolt and the plug is the julet type where you match the arrows and line up the pins with the reciprocating plug and push it in, ( with battery turned off). If your bracket is broken there are a number of adaptations you can try. Adapting one of the above display holders would work, as would any number of GPS holders or accessory brackets. Let me know what's what and we will see what would help.

Thanks for responding. I can purchase the controller and the fitting of it appears simple. What I'm struggling with is that the cable from the controller must connect to another adapter in the bike frame. Unfortunately when I trace the cable into the bike I cant find where the join is to remove the old one and connect the new one - was wondering if anyone has done this before on a Giant FastRoad E+ 1 Pro

Well, I'm glad you didn't need my info on Giant's plugs because they are all different.

The Bicycle Stack Exchange website has info on a Giant Roam. The owner was looking for some of the plugs and they replied that he might have to drop the motor. I posted these pics, that you may have seen, from Giants parts list. It shows all the cable covers for your bike. Ebike24 in Germany has your main cable, I put that up also. They might be able to tell you if you have to drop your motor. This post just formatted oddly, but I will let it be. I tried to find info on removing your midrive but struck out. It seems Giant's design is very individualistic and higher end. You may have to reach out to them. I wish you good luck with this, they didn't make it easy.
