I could get my Scorpio up to over 30mph but doing so, I'm in on the smallest rear cog, pedaling like i'm on a tricycle. I know the solution. finding a smaller rear sprocket or finding a larger front sprocket. Has anyone out there done this ?

How dare you not post a picture of your bike. :) I had the same problem on my Fatty. I had to replace the crankset to do it, but since it had a square taper BB it was pretty easy. I changed the front chain ring from a 44T to 50T, and the first chance I got I replaced the 7 speed freewheel with one that had the smallest top gear I could find, I think 11T. My bike won't go fast enough to out ride the pedals now.

Please post a pic, what color you get? I'm going to order one too. Front sprocket is easy. Rear not too bad either from what I have seen on YouTube

Did you know that for $79 and free shipping Fucare will rush you out a new controller and display that allows 28mph pedal only? True story got mine installed. It works. Funny thing is, the new controller looks exactly like the stock one from serial number and mfg #s. As soon as I put the new controller it would do 28 throttle only without changing out the display. The new display has one less setting on it

Picked up Scorpio a couple of weeks ago---so far so good. Installed the upgraded controller so the throttle goes to 28mph. I do agree the gearing is off for pedaling at a higher speed going to start the hunt for better gearing. Swapping out the tires this week with more aggressive ones HEB Allscapes 20x4! Installed a cloud 9 seat much better for riding. Flat riding around home 50 mph per charge. Only getting 30miles per charge on hills which are brutal. Got the racks which are great for hauling stuff. Remounted the headlight to the rack only problem is the headlight does not turn with the handle bars now.Added additional light to solve issue. Mounted Juice horn and X phone holder and finally going to install different pedals next week.

Love my Scorpio. Definitely needs a new freewheel. Going to get a 11-28 to replace the 14-28. They are cheap. Love the stock tires at 30 psi but I ride mostly hard surfaces. They roll so smooth compared to Lectric’s balloon knobbies. I took off my rack and rear fender and put my front fender on the back shorty bobber style! Looks great. Got the anodized billet mirrors from Fat Tire Warehouse. They come in all different colors. The are very nice, $35 a pair

Is there not enough room to put your headlight back on your fork? Looks like enough room in your pic. Or is it a clearance issue with fork compression?

200 mile review! Hit 200 miles on the Scorpio major drop in battery life basically 6 miles per bar or 30 miles per charged? No change in riding still using 1-3 PAS, only swapped out tires which I'm running at 30 psi. Noticed that the battery no longer displays the battery life lights bars on it any longer. Basically it is 14 miles round trip to work so I'm charging every other day now. Going to have to call Fucare and see what they have to say.

will be interesting to hear, please let us know. they claim good cells but i have always wondered

Question what is up with all the different PAS levels you can choose from in the menu. I'm assuming it is due to the controller is a generic controller made to fit on numerous different bikes. What is everyone running for PAS? I'm running 1-3 with power levels at 25, 50 and 95 so basically 10 mph, 20mph and 30 mph. Cannot image using the 1-5 or 1-7 to many changes for riding around here due to hills. I jumped on my 7 year old Pedego Ridge Rider and boy what a difference in use. Now I see what a $1200 bike is compared to $4000 bike big difference! Pedego controller is smooth just 5 single settings 20%, 40%, 60%, 80% and 100% power PAS and that's it. Gearing is so much better no mad pedaling at 28mph and the response from the twist throttle is instant. Everything is so much more defined and smooth.
Bought the Scorpio for bombing around, trails and for hauling groceries. The Pedego is a much better commuter bike even being 7 years old and thousands of miles the the battery is over 50% of life. Oh and big weight difference 50lbs compared to 100lbs.

why not try setting it like the pedigo at 20, 40, 60, 80 and 100? mines at 1-5 but i dont remember my exact settings at the moment. I really haven't ridden it much yet, been too stinkin hot. Got about 30 miles on it. definitely going to do the 11-28 freewheel to eliminate the ghost pedaling

have you changed your pedal assist delay from 9 (max) to 2 or 3? great improvement

Already set the PAS delay to 2 better but not great! Going to play around PAS setting this weekend. Thing I like about the Pedego is the throttle over rides the PAS setting. Does not matter what setting you are in I mainly keep it in PAS 2 so 40%. If I need to speed up to max speed just twist the throttle and go up to 28 mph. With the Scorpio the throttle is tied to the power out put to each PAS setting. If I want max speed I have to be in PAS 3 right now to get to 28 mph using the throttle. As I said going to mess around more with the setting to see if I can find the sweet spot.

There is a setting on the new controller for that too. 28 mph regardless of pas setting.

On the new controller set parameter 4 to 0. It is at 1 by default. 0 will give you 28 mph in any pas setting. Does not work at pas 0.

I have my pas settings at
1-10 mph
2-14 mph
3-19 mph
4-24 mph
5-28 mph
Rarely get past 2 or 3 then you got 28 throttle for a needed burst when you change that #4 parameter to 0
