Freesky Warrior comments

Hi,

Love my new Freesky Warrior eBike and had one comment on the product. My background is a 40 year designer and machinist. I worked very hard reducing the amount of redundant hardware in products I designed. Freesky did a wonderful job however, they could work on the amount of different bolt sizes throughout the bike. I could cut there inventory in haft.

Well, if we're going to nitpick it, it's got bigger problems than that:
  • Doesn't the rear suspension absorb a bunch of pedaling power? Looks like it would, unless you have the option to lock it out.
  • Looks like it has heatsink fins on the front of the battery pack, behind the front tire. I hope they're just for cosmetics, because they're quickly going to get roosted full of dirt.
  • Looks like the seat would not get near high enough to get full leg extension to add some decent power, unless you want to stand up and pump all the time. Maybe not an issue in electric mode, but you're going to rue the day if you have to pedal it home...
I hope none of those are an issue for you!

Hey all, can anyone tell me if they received an EU certificate of conformity for this bike? We live in France and have read bikes with this much power need one.

Check the back of the manual for the manufacturer's Declaration of Conformity. If it complies, they should have provided that either in the manual, online or as a separate document.

Hello all, New user here and just bought a freesky warrior pro. Waiting on delivery for this Thursday. I was wondering what settings are you all tweaking for best performance etc? And what upgrades has anyone done to your bikes? I can't seem to find much info other than utube vids on reviews.

Freeskys have been coming through with different displays and settings. Go up to the search box and put in Freesky and check out those threads. You might want to ask the company which display they are sending.

I did that, I'm not seeing very many posts.

Well, I thought Hounds post might be helpful.

You haven’t even gotten the bike yet, much less gotten enough miles in the saddle to know which upgrades you’ll want. It’s WAY too early for mods.

Focus on accessories for now:
- A good rack bag and/or panniers
- A good lock
- Water bottle cage
- Front rack
- Inflator
- Flat Out
- spare tube, tire levers, multi tool, patches (I recommend a seat pack for these)
- Suspension seat post?
- street tread tires, if you’ll do most of your riding on pavement. (The howl of fat knobbies on pavement gets tiresome)

I have most of these items. I'll be riding on mostly crushed gravel and dirt. I will at some point upgrade tires and tubes but I'm gonna wear the stock ones out 1st. I was just looking for what setting people are changing if any in the screen control. I'm an avid Mtb rider for the last 40 years. This is my 1st ebike.

Hi ive had the warrior pro for about 6 months and overall its pretty great. Ive made a few mods including replacing seat and seat stem with a SR SUNTOUR SP12 NCX because original post is to short and the rear shock on the bike is bloody awful lol. ive swapped the crappy ugly gear lever to a 7V Shim. Altus SL-M315-7R and fitted some fat bars.

I have a Warrior Pro with the 'user-friendly' type display. Here's a tip. If you're not going to ride the bike for an extended period, take the battery out and store it separately. I left mine in and didn't ride the bike for several months, after which I discovered the battery had discharged to a dangerously low level.

Maybe that is why they changed the display type on later bikes?
