I just bought a used flykly rear wheel and want to build a charger for it as it came without one. (I am an electronic engineer). I need to know the spec of the original charger and the wiring to the 6 way connector. The connector on the wheel is a 6 way female. I have found connector cables online described as 6 pin Jolet which look like they may fit. Can anyone confirm that ?
I have dismantled the wheel and there is a zehus circuit board inside and also 8 double cells, measuring about 25 volts in their current state of charge.
If anyone knows whether the Li-Ion charge circuitry is on this PCBA or is it in the external charger that would be good to know.
Thanks for any help.

How are you doing on your search? I have a wheel, charger, handlebar battery thingy and manual (attached).

The connector on the charger got broken but it is still functional, albeit, fragile. I tried to find a charger, even the connector on the charger, but had no luck.

Today, 7 oct 2022, I charged the wheel for the first time in years. The charger indicated that it charged (light went from red to green) but it charged within an hour. The manual indicates that one needs the app to configure the wheel. I suspect the default % assist is 0,. Without the app to set it, the wheel worse than useless

From you "local time" I see that you're probably in Europe and I'm in Pacific Time. Maybe there's a possibility we can help each othe.

I have had 2 of these wheels. Greatest invention.
I have seen the schematic somewhere. If not online, try reaching out to Zehus or the founder of FlyKly because they seem like nice people and I am guessing they will try to help you. My first wheel had the 6 pins and the one I have now does not.

Any luck? I see on the internet for the 6 prong the following info: The Flykly Smart Wheel is an ebike conversion kit consisting of a motor, battery, control system, and bicycle wheel. It has a 250 W motor, a 30V 5.33 amp hour lithium battery, and a stated range of 25 miles. The battery can be charged in 3 hours and has an expected life of 1,000 charging cycles5. The connector on the wheel is a 6-way female1.

Hi there, I just saw your reply 3 years later! Thanks for teh info. I didn't think I had any replies to the question and never took it further. If I can get a schematic I will try and find a way to make it work without the app. So far I came up blank on the whole thing.

Yes happy to help if I can thanks. I just found this app for the wheel https://apkpure.com/flykly-smart-wheel/com.flykly.flyklysmartwheel The only trouble is that it is not in the play store so there is a risk associated with sideloading apps as they may contain malware. I will try and find out if it is reputable or maybe try it on an old phone with no sensitive info on it or something.
