2012 Surly Disc Trucker 26" conversion to Ebike finished. Plan to do some hills soon to gauge assist level and gear combos. The Bafang BBS02b was configured for limited pedal assist in levels 1-5. Current really starts flowing in levels 6-9. Configs were set using Penoff's software. Cost $1,200 not counting bike frame, mech. disc brakes and saddle.

Ebike build: Bafang BBS02b with Lekkie 42t Bling Ring (almost perfect chainline!). Salsa Bend 23 bars, 60mm stem, ergo handgrips, bar end mirror, 600c display, auto illuminating headlight and ToPeak cage mount, Shimano Alivio 9 speed shifter, alarm remote for up to 50 meters. Fender kit, Falcon EV battery frame bag, deflopilator, ToPeak MTB rack with removable bag. Resin pads for Avid BB7 mech. disc brakes, auto rear brake light w/turn signals and alarm, Continental 2.2" x 26 E-50 City bike tires and new chain. Used many zipties and silicone self-fusing tape for cable protection.

Ya gotta love a good leather saddle. I have a Brooks B17 on my analog bike and it is the most comfortable and pain free saddle I have ever owned.
