We'll see. Bafang got their nose bloodied the first time they tried it. The M325 and M625 were supposed to replace the 02 and HD when they first came out, and they essentially failed in the market. Originally Bafang also required the use of their Smile batteries and that is no longer the case with whats on the market now. So maybe they will not be such buttheads about it. But the change is happening. Reportedly its being done because of battery safety (by the way the change will also incorporate new, Bafang-branded displays).
