I'm glad to have found this forum. I have a fairly recent Rocky Mountain Blizzard fat tire (26x4.6) bike that I would like to convert with a mid-drive system. So far the only mid drive I have found is Bafang BBSHD. I will mainly ride on groomed snow trails and would like to follow the rules which are: 500W motor max, no throttle, and 32km/hr top speed. The last two qualifications are probably not going to be an issue but when I look at the Bafang specs for my bike that has a 100mm wide BB, they say I can't get a 500W motor and have to opt for 750 or 1000W.
Just wondering if this is correct or if there is another maker or another way around it. I'm reluctant to go with the wheel drive motors as the ebikes I have are mid-drive and I'm comfortable with them.
Any suggestions on this and overall conversions? If anyone has done a Blizzard I'd love to hear from them.

Thanks!
