The controller on my EUNORAU max cargo bike has failed. I disassembled it and it was smoked. When the bike is turned on the display immediately comes on but immediately goes off as soon as the on button is released. If I press the + and - button at the same time and then press the on button I get a message in red that says "voltage adjust failed" (I found this by randomly check to see if the lights or anything else would work). I have gotten two replacements controllers from EUNORAU and neither one has fixed the problem. I've also replaced the Luna 500C display and the 1T4 cable with the same results. I get these results with only the battery, controller and display connected. I am thinking that maybe the display and the new controllers are not compatible. Does anybody have any ideas?

These seem to be built from ENA kits. Other people have had this problem. If it's a Bafang motor you may need to find a reputable dealer and buy one of their controllers. Just by chance have you put a multimeter on your battery to see what its actual state of charge is?

The battery is fully charged. I have tried two different batteries. The motor has nothing on it that identifies a type or brand of any kind. I did find out that EUNORAU has changed the display on the max cargo bike since this one was manufactured. That might be my next step is to try the new display. Getting any information from EUNORAU is like pulling teeth.

The display usually has to match the controller. If you can tell who actually made your controller you can order your own from any number of reputable sellers. It sounds like you know more then the company you bought the bike from. I think they are just reps. for somebody else's product.

Turns out EUNORAU changed both the display and the controller on their max cargo bike since 2019. The old 500C display is not compatible with the new controller. Replacing them both both solved the problem. The original 500C display did not include the throttle the current one does.
