Error 30H for ZCRiding

I have that on a cheap hub motor and it gets me up the hills in Staunton better than gas powered scooters ;)

Sometimes a controller will go bad and the user of the direct drive motor can wire things directly...sounds like that what you have.
Running a hub motor without a controller is possible, but it requires some modifications and careful monitoring.
HumanPerson, how do you run a display, with data and pedal assist without a controller? I have never heard of this. How is it possible?

It's on ES and other places, how to run a direct drive ebike motor without a controller ;)

Yes, but as far as i can tell this is not a direct drive and he has run the bike for ten rides having a working display and presumably going through the functions visually and testing things out. You can design a bike to run without a display, but can you design a bike to run with a display, with features and no controller?

Yeppers, this one is quite the oddball isn't it :ROFLMAO:

@Annieolnie , take a look at the first pics....at the motor then look at the pics of the actual ebike and it looks as though he has a direct drive motor and the pics show a geared hub motor...do ya see that or is it just me :)

I put a pic from BPM's website for what they said was a replacement motor. A lot of these bikes have the power cord coming out of the left side of the motor. I don't think I know how to tell a gearless motor from just the left side. Is there a trick to that?

Usually geared ones are smaller than direct drive, so this could possibly be camera position in the first pic?

I know of no tricks, it just looks to be different, to me, and the displays seem to be different, a few things throwin me off here :)
