Delivered this afternoon. I put it together with the tools it came with today. 3.5 mile test ride of pure fun.

Put a few more miles on today. I sure am enjoying this thing. I live on Boones lake ,and although the rd is fairly short 1.5 miles., but its very quiet. It's down hill almost the whole way, but a 6-8% grade back. Thankfully it's easier now.

Had yard work, and pool maintenance to do today. Didn't get a ride in :-(>. I did find time to tidy up all the wires and cables on the bike. I think it looks better. It' 1/2" split woven plastic. The bike is packed up and ready for a ride tomorrow. > Cheers!

Today I started out on my ride with the battery indicator at 2. My trip was to see how far I could go on the 1st charge. I made it 10 miles. Made it to the store and within 1/2 of home before the battery indicator was flashing. Time to stop. 31 miles total. I pulled into a church parking lot, and as I was getting off my foot caught the trunk bag and I just fell over and landed face down in the grass. Not to bad, but the guy in his garage across the street caught the whole old fart on weird contraption fall over. LMAO. Anyway changed the battery and made it home unscathed. It was 45°f out, so next time gloves are in order.
I really like the options you have while riding. I use the throttle only when needed, and keep the PAS at 2-4 . I do peddle hard at times to save battery power, and to me that's all I need. Just a little extra power when needed. I feel I got a fair workout today riding the 12 miles. I also like the fact, that I can make the 12 mile store run if needed. I take the less traveled back rd. I also don't really care to go much faster than 10-15 mph. The machine will do 28 if needed, but I won't be doing that. I'm more into riding the same speed as if had no motor at all. It's just so darn nice to see a hill, and make it up to the top without burning out. I'm getting exactly what I'd hoped for in an ebike.
There was damage to the trunk bag during the tip over. Due to the weight of the battery when the bike hit the ground one of the bottom velcro attachments that holds bag to rack ripped off. Bummer :-(> . But there was a extra D- ring next to the original buckle that works better for the strap, and is stitched way better. All in all I'm super stoked about my new bike.

I've been trying to keep around 9 to 12 miles per hour range in PAS1.
I pedal up to around 14-15'ish mph then coast a bit lol

With the new 52v 45ah battery, i've gotten 118 miles so far with taking it down from 57v to 45v it just feels good to know we can
go a long way and take in the scenery with a smile

So I charged it this morning from the 45v back up to 56.8v and that will be my 100% from now on.

For sure get some gloves chief

After being out of cycling for a long time I have (re)discovered that I can get away with some pretty light biking gloves as long as they are windproof so I hauled out my old leather "cop" gloves and they've been fantastic so far though I don't know how they'll be when it gets even colder. Now I have to do something about my poor nose (LOL).

After being out of cycling for a long time I have (re)discovered that I can get away with some pretty light biking gloves as long as they are windproof so I hauled out my old leather "cop" gloves and they've been fantastic so far though I don't know how they'll be when it gets even colder. Now I have to do something about my poor nose (LOL).

I hear ya. I've got a pair of the Mechanic gloves (red) that I had in the RV. They should provide a little warmth until old man Winter hits. The nose! Yes indeed. It gets cold.

We've got different bikes, but it seems we're both using the power judicially for the environment we encounter. That's really all I wanted. I mean I could have just bought a motorcycle, but my knees need to be exercised. Riding the throttle for me is just to get going enough for the PSA to kick in. So many options.
I wish I had the range you do, but I think I'll be fine.

Yeah i try not to use the throttle anymore and keep in PAS1 going from cassette gear 2 down 3 and 4.
It comes in handy from time to time though that's for sure.

If you get another battery you can have more saddle time too. And if you ever build one get the most AH you can.

I've been sticking to the 52v since it charges up to 58.8v and 45ah my range anxiety is over for the most part.

Once ya get over the initial excitement you'll find yourself trying new ways to go farther

This is the best thing for a whole lotta reasons.

Let the break-in begin. New B67 . This will be the 4th Brooks saddle I've broke in. Looking forward to the rides, but not necessarily the break-in process, but in the end it'll be good. Cheers!
