I have had good luck buying my batteries from:
http://www.batteryspace.com/
12V 10 AH SLA batteries are about $40 US the lowest I've seen. I currently have a 10 AH 37 volt Li-Ion poly pack from them that has almost 3000 miles on it and is still going strong! Depending on how you ride, the high power Li-Ion Poly packs will usually last 2 to 3 times longer than SLA packs. They are also half the weight and do not have the self discharge issues associated with SLA batteries.
Another source I have been looking at for my next battery is:
http://www.evcomponents.com/
Their 10AH headway packs use LiFePO4 and are low cost but they only provide 20 Amps peak current which is a little low for an Ebike. LiFePO4 batteries however will usually last 5 to 10 times longer than SLA and are not that much more expensive.
Good Luck!
